My name is Elizabeth Lancaster, and I am one of the kindergarten teachers here at Nativity. I am the fourth of four children from my family who have attended and graduated from this wonderful school. I went to Holy Family High School before moving to Oregon to attend the University of Portland.
While in college, I had the opportunity to teach in eight different schools in various grade levels, including Western Australia where I studied abroad. My college experience also involved being the captain of the women’s rowing team. After graduating from college with a degree in education and an endorsement in teaching English Language Learners, I continued my career in Portland, where I taught third grade at St. Therese Catholic School. When I moved back to Colorado last year, I taught third grade here at Nativity before making the change to kindergarten. I have really enjoyed every subject that I have taught, but one of my favorites is science, especially teaching about the brain!
I have the most supportive parents, two older brothers, and an older sister. I also have a nephew, a niece, and another niece on the way. I am engaged to my fiancé, Tony, who is a firefighter for Summit County. I love being outdoors, especially competing in triathlons. Currently, I am busy training for my first half ironman! I am very blessed to be part of the Nativity community. Giving back to the school that helped shape me as a kid is such a joy in my life.
