My name is Jennifer Wagner, and I teach fourth grade at Nativity. I grew up in Arvada and Broomfield with two younger brothers where I attended Shrine of St. Anne Catholic Grade School and Holy Family High School. While in high school, I developed my passions for reading, playing/coaching volleyball and, most importantly, serving others.
As a freshman in high school, I sustained an injury playing volleyball, but it was through this injury I learned that God works in mysterious ways. I could no longer play the game, so I was offered an assistant coaching position at Nativity. Since then, I’ve coached both boys and girls here, and I was blessed to coach at Holy Family for five years.
After graduating from Holy Family, I received a scholarship to attend Regis University in Denver, where I studied communication arts and education. While attaining my degree, I was fortunate to be an aide at Nativity. Upon graduating, I was hired as a third grade teacher. After seven years in a third grade classroom, I moved up to fourth grade. I absolutely love teaching at such a God-loving school where there is such a family atmosphere!
During my 17 years at Nativity, I have been blessed to work with wonderful friends, but most of all, be introduced to my husband, Jamie. We’ve been married for nine years and have two beautiful kids who attend Nativity. Our dream is to travel around the country, where I will be able to sit and read anywhere we can savor God’s glorious creations.
